YTL Afterschool, Summer Camp & Advocacy

Our youth-serving programs are Afterschool, Summer Camp, and Advocacy & Outreach. We provide a safe, nurturing environment filled with engaging activities for Asheville City Schools and Buncombe County Schools students. YTL offers academic support and enrichment that complements and extends the learning taking place during the regular school day. We can provide transportation for scholars whose families do not have working transportation (i.e. on a very limited, as needed basis)

YTL Advocacy and Outreach is designed to serve as the “Trinity Connector” between parents, school staff, and the scholars. The program was created to bridge the gap that often widens as students enter middle school and gain more independence. The goal is to support scholars at points of transition while strengthening connections. Advocacy and Outreach coordinators collaborate with students, families, and the school system to promote the social and emotional well-being, safety, and educational success of our community’s scholars. Our Advocates connect children and families to resources, such as mental health services, college and career preparation, mentorship, mindfulness practices, and creative programming.
